GHWP Live Tweet July 14 and 24, 2015 - Spectreman

For the first time in a few weeks, #GHWP is delivering a double dose of Spectreman. First, following #TrashTue's Werewolf Bash on Tuesday, Spectreman will need all his wits about him when he faces a giant monster that assaults its victims with a massive tongue.

July 14th Selections:
Episode 28 - The Terrifying Attack of Salamandar
Episode 29 - Kill the Vicious Monster Salamandar

Toku Tuesday returns as George and his cohorts pay a visit to a quiet little village suffering from a terrifying legend, and an old witch woman claims that the beast Salamandar appears to deliver punishment for their sins. But we all know that even prehistoric monsters and ancient legends never just wake up on their own around here. Dr. Gori has to be behind this somehow. When Spectreman shows up to save the day, the unthinkable happens: Salamandar's red-hot flame breath blinds Spectreman by welding his cyborg eyes shut.

Always remember: gentle pressure.

Now both George and Spectreman are blind, but somehow that "we will never know the source" part of the theme song still holds true. There isn't an old blind ninja to teach Spectreman to adapt to his surroundings, but he'll have to figure something out before Salamandar plows over a hospital in his path of destruction. Find out what happens next after #TrashTue's Werewolf Bash on Tuesday night.

EDIT: Original July 17th schedule was postponed one week to make room for Shout Factory's online Kaiju Movie Marathon. I hope you were watching.

But that's not all! Friday night, July 24, after #Bmoviemaniacs, #GHWP will explore what happens when Dr. Gori revives his very first monster, Hedoron (as seen in last week's live tweet of the first two episodes), to plague humanity with deadly pollution once again. It looks a little something... like... this!

July 24th Selections:
Episode 13 - The Great Hedoron Strikes Back Part 1
Episode 14 - The Great Hedoron Strikes Back Part 2

Dr. Gori doesn't just have a giant, rampaging monster in mind. He has a giant, rampaging GENIUS monster in mind, and Gori believes that a lack of intelligence was the primary reason Hedoron's first assault failed. Dr. Gori targets brilliant biochemist Dr. Ogaki conducting tests on polluted water, and he sends his new Hedoron through the pipes to absorb Dr. Ogaki in a bubble bath gone horribly wrong.

I hope that's not Mr. Bubble. He could get his brain eaten and a urinary tract infection on top of it.
There's no recycling of models and suits this week as the new and intelligent Hedoron takes on a completely new form resembling a giant tentacled mushroom.

I couldn't get a decent snapshot, so enjoy this approximate representation of the Spectreman vs. the new Hedoron.

Will Dr. Gori's new Hedoron succeed in blanketing the sky with a choking cloud of smog? How will Spectreman defeat the new monster? Am I even remotely as skilled and talented at asking tense cliffhanger questions as the Spectreman narrator? Find out after #Bmoviemaniacs on #GHWP's Midnight Spectreman. Also tune in for another episode of Go! Greenman!
